Port Jervis, NY - Five area citizens are running for three seats in this year's Port Jervis City School Board Election. Voting will take place Tuesday, May 19th.  Those candidates are:
Noeleen Casey-Tomasi – incumbent
Deborah Lasch
Valerie Maginsky
Catherine Sadaghiani
Earl Walker, Jr.

The public is invited to Meet the Candidates Night, Tuesday, April 28th at 7 PM in the cafeteria of the high school.

Important Dates Board Converts Snow Days

 -The Board of Education has voted to convert two unused snow days into time off for students.  School will be closed Friday, May 1, 2015, and Tuesday, May 26th.  District offices will be opened.  Please add this to your calendar.

Donna MuroPort Salutes Muro for Service

February 3, 2015 - The Port Jervis School District took time during the Feb. 3rd meeting to honor recently retired Donna Muro.  Muro served the district for 30.5 years, most recently as Principal/Director of Curriculum and Data.   The entire Port Jervis school district is grateful for Mrs. Muro and all she has done for education in our community

PREMIER Scheduled for MARCH 7th, 5PM - This movie is the story of the mission to bring Hudson Valley World War II veterans to Washington D.C. to the WWII Memorial and related venues.  This movie also tells of the veterans working with area students and schools to provide insight into the WWII era. Wreaths Across AmericaWrestlers Lay Wreaths at West Point

The Port Jervis Varsity and Modified Wrestling teams attended the Wreaths Across America Ceremony at the West Point Military Academy on December 6th. Braving the downpour of rain the team assisted with laying over 1,000 wreaths at the West Point Military Cemetery. MORE>

Thirty five students were awarded a "Port Jervis High School Academic Varsity Letter" of excellence for maintaining an average grade of 90 or above for their entire academic career. Click for MORE>

Kettle Bell - PJHSPort Athletes "RING THE BELL" to help Salvation Army 

The Port Jervis High School athletic teams met Saturday in front of the Wal-Mart Supercenter for important work.  Teams arrived to "Ring the Kettle Bell" and help raise money for the Salvation Army.  From 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM, teams, working in shifts rang the bell.  MORE>
